Ahmad Khalif, aged 44, is the Executive Chairman of TG. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelors Degree in Commerce in 2000, and an MBA in 2012. He spent several years working in MK Land Holdings Bhd, a public-listed property company, focusing in the area of finance. In 2012, he became the CEO of the Emkay Group of Companies. Ahmad Khalif, or Akay as he is generally known, remains active in the running of TG and also sits on the Boards of several property companies.
Akay is passionate about sports. He is particularly good at golf (single handicap, of course), plays the occasional game of football (wisely placed between the goalposts) and also owns a multi-purpose sports centre.
Peter Chan, aged 61, is the Executive Director of TG. He graduated with a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1991. He has gained international exposure with major property developers in Hong Kong and Indonesia. He was a Chief Operating Officer (COO) in MK Land from 1997 to 2004, and implemented many innovative ideas and concepts at the company’s projects during this period.
Peter is, like Akay, passionate about sports and was a marathon runner and Ironman triathlete. When not looking at buildings, he tends to the garden and goes on regular meditation retreats.
